Creating a Bitwage account takes under five minutes. Visit bitwage.com/contractor-payments and click Get Started Free. You'll be prompted to enter your business email, create a password, and accept the terms of service. Bitwage supports both company accounts and individual contractor/employer accounts.

After email verification, you'll complete a short KYC (Know Your Customer) verification flow. This involves providing your legal business name, EIN or SSN (for US accounts), and a supported identity document. Most accounts are verified within 24 hours.

Once verified, you'll have access to the full Bitwage dashboard. From there you can fund your Bitwage Balance, add your first contractor, and configure your preferred payment currencies. The dashboard is organized by product — Contractor Payments, Vendor Payments, Bitwage Balance, and W2 Crypto Benefit.

Bitwage offers a white-label API for platforms that want to embed global payroll into their own product. If you're a developer building on top of Bitwage, see the API documentation for authentication and endpoint references. Enterprise accounts can request a dedicated onboarding call.

If you encounter any issues during sign-up — for example, if your country isn't listed or your document scan is rejected — contact support@bitwage.com with your account email. Review the full list of supported countries before signing up if you're unsure whether your region is eligible.
